Running a league season
The league section is the part of this site we built for our own group and then kept. A commissioner sets up a season, coaches register their teams, and the fixtures, match sheets and standings follow from there.
Setting up
A commissioner signs in and creates a league at its own address, with the rules written down where every coach can read them: the starting treasury (1,000,000 gp by default, editable), the number of coaches, the format (a single round robin with playoffs is the default) and the tiebreakers. One commissioner can run several leagues, which is useful when a group runs a main season and a short cup at the same time.
Registration
Coaches register a roster from the same team data the card maker uses: pick a team, add players with their shirt numbers (1 to 99, duplicates refused), set re-rolls, apothecary and staff, and the form shows the team value beside the starting treasury. The registered roster can then be imported straight into the card maker to print the team pack, so the cards and the league record start identical.
Fixtures and match sheets
Fixtures are generated in weekly rounds from a start date, with byes shown per round when the coach count is odd. Every fixture has a printable match sheet, A4 landscape, in Spanish and English: the two rosters with room for touchdowns, casualties, completions and the rest of the SPP, a result box and signature lines. A whole round of sheets can be printed at once before league night.
Results and standings
After the match the commissioner enters the result and the standings update, with the tiebreakers applied in the order the rules state. Coaches update their own cards from the sheet (the advancement table is on this site for the SPP maths) and export the team file; a good habit is for the commissioner to keep the latest export of every team, so a dispute about who had Block last week is settled by a file.
Public pages
Standings, fixtures and results are public pages, so coaches and spectators can follow the season from a phone without an account. Only the commissioner needs to sign in.
