Ivar is a ST 4 human with the skills a bash coach asks for first: Block, Guard and Tackle. Guard gives assists however many opponents mark him, and Tackle strips Dodge from anyone he blocks. MA 6 and AV 9+ are plain. Raiding Party is the special, once per drive: when he activates, one open team-mate within five squares shifts one square to mark an opponent, a free assist on the block he is about to throw.

Humans get the most from him because their roster has no ST 4 positional and a Guard piece with Tackle is the anchor their Blitzers need. Bretonnians, Imperial Nobility and the Old World Alliance can hire him too. At 215k he is dear for three skills and ST 4: he pays off when the opponent brings Guard-heavy lines you need to break. Loner (4+) applies.
