Lizardmen team roster
The Lizardmen roster has 4 positions. The cheapest player is the Skink Lineman at 60,000 gp, the quickest is the Skink Lineman with MA 8, and the strongest is the Kroxigor with ST 5. Team re-rolls cost 70,000 gp each.
Make Lizardmen cardsHow the team plays
Lizardmen are a hybrid team with the parts split by species. Six Saurus Blockers at ST 4 and AV 10+ do the hitting and hold the line, and a Kroxigor at ST 5 with Mighty Blow is the Big Guy. Skinks are the other half: MA 8, ST 2, Dodge and Stunty, quick ball carriers that fold when caught. Nobody on the roster starts with Block, and the Saurus at AG 5+ cannot be trusted with the ball; Unsteady also rules them out of the Secure the Ball action.
The team is good at setting a wall of ST 4 and letting Skinks run the ball behind it or sprint past a stretched defence. It struggles against Tackle, which switches off Skink Dodge, and against opponents who stall until the Saurus fall over on their own blocks. Skinks score and Skinks take the casualties. Chameleon Skinks at 70,000 gp add On the Ball and Shadowing for marking an opposing passing game.

Building a starting roster
The common 1,000,000 gp build is six Saurus Blockers (540,000 gp), a Kroxigor (140,000 gp) and four Skink Linemen (240,000 gp), which comes to 920,000 gp for eleven players. Re-rolls cost 70,000 gp here, so one fits and leaves 10,000 gp spare. That is thin, and some coaches drop the Kroxigor for a fifth Skink and a second re-roll instead, which lands at 980,000 gp. Chameleon Skinks and an apothecary wait for the first few payouts.
Advice for newer coaches
Blitz with a Saurus every turn and pick the target that leaves a Skink free to run; the Saurus have no Block, so take the two-dice blocks and keep the re-roll for the ball handler. Hand the ball to a Skink standing behind the Saurus line, and move the Kroxigor last so a Bone Head failure costs you nothing else. Avoid dodging a Skink through a Tackle player's zone when a longer route round exists.
