Orc team roster
The Orc roster has 6 positions. The cheapest player is the Goblin Lineman at 40,000 gp, the quickest is the Goblin Lineman with MA 6, and the strongest is the Troll with ST 5. Team re-rolls cost 60,000 gp each.
Make Orc cardsHow the team plays
Orc is the classic bash team. Linemen at AV 10+ for 50,000 gp are the heart of it, Orc Blitzers add Block and Break Tackle at MA 6, and Big Un Blockers bring ST 4 with Mighty Blow, Taunt and Thick Skull. An Orc Thrower with Pass and Sure Hands picks up the ball. A Troll at ST 5 with Mighty Blow, Projectile Vomit and Really Stupid stands wherever you want a problem, and Goblin Linemen with Right Stuff give it something to throw.
The team is good at staying upright: nearly everyone has AV 10+, so armour breaks rarely and your line of scrimmage stays standing. It is slow, at MA 5 for Linemen and Big Uns, and weak in the air with PA 4+ on most of the roster. The plan is a slow cage, with Blitzers using Break Tackle to pick the moment to break out. Blitzers score most of the touchdowns; Goblins and the occasional Thrower come off hurt.

Building a starting roster
The usual 1,000,000 gp sheet is two Orc Blitzers (170,000 gp), two Big Un Blockers (190,000 gp), one Orc Thrower (75,000 gp), a Troll (115,000 gp) and five Orc Linemen (250,000 gp). Eleven players, 800,000 gp. Orc re-rolls are 60,000 gp, which is cheap for a team of this weight, so three fit and the total is 980,000 gp. Goblins, the second Thrower and an apothecary come later. The Troll is the first thing some coaches leave out, swapping it for a sixth Lineman and a fourth re-roll at 975,000 gp.
Advice for newer coaches
Hit with everything each turn, blocks first and the ball last, and take the two-dice blocks your Big Uns and assists create. Keep the Troll next to an Orc so Really Stupid rolls with its +2, and use Projectile Vomit on an opponent the Troll could not knock over anyway. Cage with Linemen on the corners, since AV 10+ absorbs the blitz. Avoid long passes: a Thrower at PA 3+ aiming at AG 3+ receivers with no Catch skill anywhere on the roster is a turnover in waiting.
